Community

The community has been vital in helping Clark grow, and in return we believe it is our responsibility to give back. Clark nurtures a culture of volunteerism with our employees and regularly donates company resources. We are sponsors of a number of local organizations, including:

Working to preserve the diversity and vitality of Bainbridge Island by providing and maintaining affordable housing opportunities in the community.

For more than 56 years, the nonprofit, Bainbridge Youth Services, has offered teens free and confidential mental health counseling. Being a teen can be exciting, but it can also be stressful. If a teen is facing a personal challenge, we can help. BYS offers a safe place for teens to share personal thoughts and feelings. The need is great. In the last three years, our professional counselor hours have increased 350 percent to meet student demand for our services. In addition, BYS offers free tutoring programs, summer internship opportunities, peer mentoring and free tech tutoring for seniors. BYS is located conveniently on the high school campus and later this summer (2019) we will be moving adjacent to the high school (across from the Aquatic Center).

With Baby Boomers turning 65 at the rate of 10,000 everyday, it is more important than ever to help our neighbors in the WestSound, Gig Harbor to Port Angeles. Our aging parents are turning to their adult kids asking for help, support and guidance and Compass & Clock has been designed with that in mind. Compass & Clock is a group of compassionate, experienced professionals dedicated to the well-being and safety of those we service. Our goal is to share knowledge, tools, tips and resources to educate & empower, and help strengthen quality of life as one ages.

For over 20 years, Island Volunteer Caregivers has assisted the elderly, persons with disabilities, and those temporarily in need to maintain their dignity, independence and quality of life. IVC serves as a link between the people in our community who need help and those who are able to help. Our volunteers provide transportation, caregiver support and assistance to seniors and others. We help fill in the gaps so that people can live as independently as possible. We’ve been making neighbor to neighbor connections since 1996.
